Stewardship and Mission Projects:

Christmas Caroling:  Sunday, March 11th at 4 pm

We will meet at the Baxter nursing home and start our Christmas caroling for those residents.  From  there we go to local resisdents and join together in Christmas music.  Following we will meet at Bethany for some warm food and drinks.  We will also finish packaging the Family Packs.

Family Packs:  Must be ready for distribution December 18th

We are collecting non-perishable food items and money to purchase items to make “Family Packs”.  In the past we made Kid Packs which are smaller portions and food items for an individual.  It was decided that during the school vacation, it is the family that can use the extra food, including the children.  These items are to be easy to prepare or ready to eat items.  Also seeking more than one meal, such as a can of fruit rather than one serving size.  Following Christmas caroling on 12/18, we will put these packs together at Bethany in preparation for delivery before school is out for the holiday vacation.  Any all help is greatly appreciated.  (The Stewardship Committee will organize these, starting December 4th.)

(We also want to thank teh Amerigas Company as they are going to be donating money to purchase food and also supply bags for us to pack them in.)

Jasper County Animal Rescue League:  This project starts in January, 2017

In January we will start collecting items specifically needed to help the Jasper County Animal Rescue League.  The JCARL has a web site requesting items and volunteer activities for those interested.

Christmas Eve Candle Light Service is at 7:00 pm on December 24th

Christmas Day there will be a worship service is at 10:30 am.  (There is no Sunday school that day or on New Years Day)
